Special Assignment Teams (SATs)

First Cathay creates specialist teams known as Special Assignment Teams (SATs) – specific to the specific real estate challenge.

​

Members of each SAT are experts with particular local and international capabilities closely aligned the type of real estate being sought.

​

Members will:

​

• identify the optimum real estate opportunity for the Client Investor,

​​

• undertake accurate and rapid assessment of the target property (its attainability and viability),

​​

• determine the optimum development (or investment) concept for the property asset,

​

• determine the best ownership structure for holding the asset – including relevant legal, domicile, taxation, currency, management and accounting issues,

​

• procure the required finance and design the finance package,

​

• advise on the best approach to make an Offer for the selected real estate,

​

• prepare the Offer for the Client’s approval and, if appropriate,

​

• submit the Offer to the Owner or its representatives.

​

A member may, if so instructed by the Investor, proceed with negotiations to purchase the asset on terms agreed with the Investor.
